In the Black Hole is a project set by two young artists, Jošt Rogelj (17 years old) and Benjamin Zajc (19 years old). The idea started when Benjamin wrote a short synopsis and received a Grossmann’s Prize for high-school participants by Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film and Television Ljubljana. Almost a year later Jošt gave initiative to start the preparations for filming a short live-action film.
The protagonist of the story is a young man named Črtomir (meaning: someone who drawspeace/someone who crosses out peace), who origins from a traditional Slovenian family. At first sight, his family’s life looks perfect, but Črtomir is bothered by fatiguing philosophical questions that always stay untouched by the others around him. The whole family idyll shatters when Črtomir’s father commits a terrible mistake and throws his son from cloud nine right back to therock bottom. Slowly he starts to realize our world is not at all a beautiful place. Racism. Phobias. Rapes. Murders. Wars. Chaos. The last time we were insuch a mess, God send Jesus to die for our sins. Is it time for a new Jesus? We don’t know the answer and it is not important. The core here is: How will Črtomir answer that question?

The making of our film and the premiere of it are completely non-profitable for the creators. The funds we are trying to raise are needed for all the costs including production, post-production, street closure, transport costs, photography, premiere etc.
The premiere itself (with English subtitles) is planned to happen somewhere in the six months after the end of raising money. Donators will be able to follow the whole process of filming on this website.
The premiere will happen in Kulturni dom Janez Jalen in Notranje Gorice (LPP 6B, station Notranje Gorice, cca. 30min from the centre of Ljubljana or with a car - a secured parking spot will be available). After the screening of the film, there will be a talk with the team, where audience will be able to see the creating process through young creators' eyes. What is more, they will have the option to ask their own questions. After that a small feast will be organised, where audience and the team will be able to chit chat a bit.
