In Društvo za razvoj kulture plesa BAILA BAILA (Society for development of culture of dancing BAILA BAILA) we wish to publish a book with the title Objem med dvema korakoma (Embrace between two steps). In an amusing, interesting and lyrical way, the book presents the journey of maestro Anton Volkov - a professional dancer of Argentine tango. In the book, the artist reveals great many challenges, which he encountered on his artistic journey of dancing. Many of the said challenges, the reader might identify with. In a light and roguish way, the book presentsthe questions, thoughts and pickles maestro came up against as an aspiring young dancer. It also gives us some interesting suggestions and answers on how to confront with the first steps and beginner’s scourges on the dance floor and next to it. The book unveils interesting findings that were born during maestro’s dancing career, and intertwines those findings with playful adventures from different dance floors. Maestro's advice is no doubt very useful for all amateur dancers of Argentine tango. The book brilliantly paints the rainbow-like world of Argentine tango, which is the world of improvisation, of art of movement and of countless possibilities for personal expression.

Društvo za razvoj kulture plesa BAILA BAILA is active in the field of dancing, to wit Argentine tango. With the assistance of our tango maestro Anton Volkov, we strive to evolve, promote and spread the passion for dancing and to encourage active and responsible life style. Our purpose is to raise the awareness of the general public of the importance of dancing in the society, to create the conditions for amateur and professional dancing, and to enrich the cultural life by encouraging the amateur dancing of all generations.

We would like to tell you a story of a dance, whose presence is felt throughout the life and culture of Argentina - the story of tango. Forming part of the UNESCO world cultural heritage, tango once again excites a vast interest throughout the world. Through the maestro's interesting and amusing narration in the book Objem med dvema korakoma, you may learn about improvisation, intellectual challenge and passions, about mistakes and learning of Argentine tango and much more. The book unveils interesting findings that were born during maestro’s dancing career, and intertwines those findings with playful adventures from different dance floors. Maestro's advice is no doubt very useful for all amateur dancers of Argentine tango.

We believe that you will be very taken by the maestro's stories, so don't put off reading. You might be even so overwhelmed that we meet on the dance floor next time!

Why do we need your help?

Since it is very hard to collect means for cultural projects, we have decided for a new approach to raising funds – by crowdfunding at Adrifund. For the publication of the book Objem med dvema korakoma we wish to raise 600 EUR, which we shall use for the graphical preparation, printing and other costs associated with the publication of the book. At the beginning, we plan to issue 250 copies. You can get your own copy by supporting our project.
