We’re Katja, Jasna, Anja, Jon, Klemen, Andrej, Anej and Jure, and all together we’re Jazzva, an a cappella group from Slovenia. In August, we’re heading off to Göteborg in Sweden to take part in the Eurovision Choir competition, or, as we like to call it, choral Eurovision. It’s an immense honour to have been chosen by RTV Slovenia to represent our country at such a big international event.
If you are not familiar with our work, scroll to the bottom of the text to find out more about us. Now let's talk about our goals for this campaign.
We can sing, if we do say so ourselves, we’re even really good at it. We prefer to prove that fact by performing in Slovenia and abroad, but if necessary, we can also boast with some of our numerous official awards. We’ve won a series of national and international awards - we were national a cappella champions three times, won best vocal group award in Seghizzi (Italy) in 2014, won silver in jazz and pop categories at the renowned a cappella competition vokal.total in Graz (Austria) the same year, won second place at the A cappella Wettbewerb Leipzig competition and performed at the semi-finals of Slovenia’s got talent show in 2015, qualified to the final of one of the most prestigious European vocal competitions Tampeeren Sävel (Finland) in 2017 and, last but not least, we were invited to represent Slovenia at the choral Eurovision.
Nevertheless, we need more than a great voice, perfect harmony and hard work for this type of competition.
That’s why we’ve decided to order arrangements for our songs from the most talented musicians, take lessons of stage performance and choreography with experts from the field and hire a stylist to help us look fabulous. We want to bring our music in physical form to such an important journey, in the shape of a CD. We’ve been recording for almost a year and the album is in the final stages of production. To make sure it’s done before we leave, we need a final push from you guys.
This is why we’re addressing you with this campaign. Every donation will be rewarded with a perk of your choice - just choose what you would like to get or how much you want to support us. In exchange for your contribution, you’ll not only get a nice gift package but will also be in our minds when we proudly sing Slovenian music in Sweden.

About Jazzva
We’re one of Slovenia’s leading a cappella groups and we’ve been around since 2005 when the first Jazzva members that were singing in the best Slovenian choirs at the time, decided they want more musical freedom and creativity, wilder beats and a louder sound. In the years of creating we’ve become one of the most important players on the country’s a cappella scene and our mission is constant growth and stimulating the development of the community.
The current ensemble has worked together for about half a year and despite changing the members a couple of times in the years Jazzva has the same temperament. We’re a creative, curious, full of life, playful and sometimes a bit crazy group of individuals that live for music, new challenges, never-ending growth, perfect harmonies and happy audiences.
Our ambitions are bigger and bigger and we make them a reality by performing, organising concerts, recording and attending competitive and educational festivals. For the past 12 years, we’ve been organising an international vocal festival in Ljubljana which, like us, keeps on developing.
Despite the name, jazz is far from being our main genre, as musical curiosity takes us to very diverse musical currents. At the Eurovision, we’d like to present contemporary arrangements of Slovene folk songs and proudly present Slovenia as a land of great music and remarkably talented musicians.
